This year with the doom and gloom of the economic crisis, no one knows for sure the outcome of this holiday shopping season.  We know though that shoppers are being "careful" about their spending.

Now is more important than ever to be smart... about spending money during the holidays.  Here are nine shopping tips that you should consider when holiday shopping.

• Create a holiday shopping budget and stick with it.
• Don't try to outdo others.
• Buy on line.
• Use cash (or checks/debit card ~ money you have vs. not have).
• Don't buy on impulse.
• Don't open store credit cards.
• Don't fall for the "no-payment financing" offers.
• Don't buy extended warranties.
• Give the gift of savings.
