Business Casual
Trousers- Full length – full break
- Neatly pressed
- Fabrics: wool, wool blends, flannel, corduroy (narrow wale), khaki, twill
- Do not wear jeans or sweats
- Styles - blazers, sport coats, business suit jacket
- Solid neutral colors or conservative patterns in neutral colors
- Crisp & neat in neutral colors & conservative patterns
- Avoid very bright colors & bold patterns
- Neat, unwrinkled & tucked in with a belt
- Avoid bold patterns & very bright colors
- V-necks and crew necks should be worn over a shirt
- Avoid very bright colors & bold patterns
- Coordinate tie with jacket & shirt
- Silk is best option
- Must match shoe color
- Length should not be longer than first loop of pant waist
- Modest buckle
- Dark in color (brown, black, burgundy)
- Clean and polished (can “make or break” your overall look)
- Do not wear athletic shoes, hiking boots or sandals
- Long enough to avoid showing skin when sitting
- The thinner, the dressier
- Avoid thick cumbersome socks
Traditional Business
Suits ~ two and three piece suits- Pinstripe or a dark solid color such as navy, black, charcoal
- Avoid double breasted suits for office wear (save for dressy occasions)
- Choose style complimentary to body type
- Single breasted two-button suit with single vent compliments most body shapes
- Solid colors or conservative prints - white, blue, yellow, pink, & other pastel colors
- Plain shirts are more powerful than patterned shirts
- Conservative pattern (diagonal stripes or dots)
- Coordinate tie with the shirt and suit
- Red is considered a traditional power color & includes mauve, burgundy & rust
- The tip of the tie should come to the middle of your belt buckle
- Color should match the shoes
- 1-1/2 wide
